Ditch the takeout menu! This bizarre sounding 3-Ingredient Peanut Butter Ramen is your secret weapon against hunger pangs. Creamy, savory, and utterly addictive, it transforms humble instant noodles into a luxuriously velvety bowl in less than 5 minutes.
Serves: 1
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 3 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 package (3-4 oz / 85-113g) Instant Ramen Noodles (includes seasoning packet)
- 2 tbsp Creamy Peanut Butter (standard style like Jif/Skippy works best)
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce (or Tamari for gluten-free)
- Optional: Hot water (as needed for consistency)
Instructions
- Prep Noodles:
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a small pot.
- Add ramen noodles (discard or save vegetable packet if included, use ONLY the main seasoning packet later). Cook for 2-3 minutes until tender.
- Drain noodles, reserving ¼ cup (60ml) of the starchy cooking water in the pot. Return noodles to the pot with the reserved water.
- Make the Sauce:
- Immediately add the peanut butter and soy sauce to the hot noodles and reserved water in the pot.
- Sprinkle in the ramen seasoning packet from the package.
- Combine & Finish:
- Place the pot over low heat. Stir vigorously for 30-60 seconds until the peanut butter is fully melted and a creamy, slightly thick sauce coats the noodles.
- If sauce is too thick, stir in hot water 1 tsp at a time. If too thin, simmer for another 30 seconds.
- Serve immediately.
