Ingredients
- 1 cup (250g) creamy peanut butter (conventional, not natural/oily)
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar (white or light brown)
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Prepare Dough:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, and egg. Stir until smooth and thick (1–2 minutes).
- Optional: Chill dough 10 minutes if too soft.
- Shape Cookies:
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls (1 tbsp each). Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
- Flatten each ball with a fork in a criss-cross pattern (dip fork in sugar to prevent sticking).
- Bake:
- Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden (cookies will firm while cooling).
- Remove from oven (do not overbake).
- Cool:
- Let rest on baking sheet 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
